Casey Mears will be looking for a new ride in 2009. Hendrick Motorsports said Friday that Mears, who has been with the team since 2007 and moved to the No. 5 Chevrolet to replace Kyle Busch, will be released at the end of this season. "We've put a ton of emphasis on the No. 5 program," team owner Rick Hendrick said in a release. "It's been a total team effort, and Casey has worked as hard as anyone to help us improve. We've tested more than we ever have, but the results just haven't come.
